EPS Structural Design and Panel Layout Design: what is the difference?
Understand the difference between EPS Structural Design and Panel Layout Design — two different, complementary services, depending on each project's needs.
Two different, complementary services
EPS Structural Design and Panel Layout Design are different services, which can be complementary depending on the project's needs. Each has its own purpose within the planning of a Monolithic Panel construction.
What EPS Structural Design is
EPS Structural Design is developed according to the specific characteristics of each Monolithic Panel project, based on the technical analysis of the available information and documents — such as the architectural design, the project's location, the area and size of the construction, the number of floors and the building's complexity.
Scope, deliverables, required documents, timeline and price are defined only after this analysis — there is no standard design applicable to any project.
What about the technical liability record (ART)?
The need for and inclusion of the ART in the EPS Structural Design are defined case by case, according to the contracted scope and technical responsibility — the ART is not automatically included in every request.
What Panel Layout Design is
Panel Layout Design organizes the distribution and identification of Monolithic Panels according to the project analyzed, considering the walls, dimensions and openings shown in the available documents. Its purpose is to support the planning of the panel assembly on site.
It is important to note that Panel Layout Design does not replace the architectural design, the structural design, the electrical and plumbing design or other technical designs required for the project — each of these must be developed separately, according to the project's needs.
The commercial condition of Panel Layout Design
Panel Layout Design is included at no additional cost when the supply of all Monolithic Panels needed to execute the analyzed project is contracted with ADIC Engenharia, according to the conditions formalized in the commercial proposal.
This condition applies only to the full supply of the panels needed to execute the analyzed project — it does not apply to partial or individual purchases. When only the Panel Layout Design is requested, without contracting the full panel supply, the price is defined after analysis.
This content is informative and does not replace technical analysis, design, professional responsibility or guidance specific to each project.
